A Fruitful Journey To Desaru

•  7.30AM-9.00AM

   

Something interesting we found in the bus on the way to
Tuas Checkpoint. 

On 15 March 2012, we were happy to go to our school educational trip to Desaru with our fellow friends and handsome teachers, Mr Azam and Ustaz Raziff. We have our final briefing at our school before boarding the bus that took us to Malaysia. Only some of our friends have Panda-like eye backs on their face! During our journey to Malaysia, We have our own Curry Puff supplier in the bus which was made for our 'small' breakfast’. Then we arrived at the checkpoints to stamp up our passports so that we visited to Malaysia legally! After stamping up our passports, we boarded different bus that has been waiting for us for so long at Malaysia. There we met our informative funny tour guide, Cik Siti. Her height about 150cm and her weight about 60kg and good looking women. Of Course we want to be like her very informative and funny at the same time!

•   9.01AM-9.30AM        

We have mini ice breaking games along the way to our Gelang Patah, where we have our first breakfast there. At Gelang Patah, we have our first delicious breakfast that we made by local residents there (Of Course ).We did not paid our breakfast but Ustaz Raziff did. How can be like that? If you’re smart enough, you will know the answer. Of course he treated us and that is what we call generous deed. We went to the money changer which located not far from the restaurant we have for our breakfast. Suddenly we became rich. Before continue our 2 HOURS journey to our first destination, Fisherman’s Museum which located at Desaru, we were treated by our kind teacher, Mr Azam, snacks that he bought for us to consume along the way to Fisherman’s Museum in case we will be hungry.

•  9.40AM-10.30AM

Unexpectedly, all of us were not sleeping during the 2 hours journey to Fisherman’s Museum because of the entertaining funny friendly tour guide, Cik Siti, she cracked some funny jokes, and of course there were lame ones! That made the bus filled with many types of laughers, the "Ha Ha Ha" ones, The "HAHAHAHAMOJOJO" ones and the "Non-Stop laughing" ones. Although Cik Siti entertained us, at the same time, she also told us some histories and old stories. We passed by a beautiful greenish scenery of palm trees and we also got to see the Azam Bridge and some scenery of the unspoiled beach framed by the South China sea on one side and lush tropical forest.

•  11.00AM-12.30PM

The Fisherman's Museum or Muzium Nelayan (In Malay)

Just philosophical.

Finally we arrived at Fisherman’s  Museum. All of us were busy taking  photos already. The museum displays  various artifacts used by fishermen such as fishing 
traps, tackles and various types of floats, and replicas of the    fishermen's catch according to the equipment used.


There are also traditional   boats and rafts exhibited. Besides that, we  learned about local taboos, beliefs and superstitions related to the sea. For the first time in our life, we saw true living mermaid. Also we saw Jenglot, also the legendary Keris (ceremonial knife) and money that the people believe that were took from other world. 
We were amazed by the gallery of the museum and the artifacts of boats that were displayed at museum. Some started to recite some “prayers” when they entered the place where the museum showcased the statue of the Malay ghosts. Very Spooky. After that we boarded our 
bus to go to our next destination, which was Desaru Fruit Farm which located not far from the Museum.

After arriving at Desaru Fruit Farm, we met our farm tour guide, Cik Hani who is truly knowledgeable about tropical plants and made our walk very meaningful. We were informed that the farm was about equivalent to 200 football fields and Over 100 tropical fruit species grown on site. Then some of us were like,’’Ahh I cannot make it to the end the tour since the farm were very huge.

This going to be a tiring tour’’. During the tour at the farm, we got to taste some of fruit juices that we made at the farm itself by the farmers and got to feed the big fishes at the pond. Also not far from the fish pond, there were mini museum about the farm and some bee hives! Some were not brave to walk in front of the bee hives! Some were daring that they put their face in front of the bee hives! Then we were surprised by the mini zoo at the farm. 


Parrots, Goats, Rabbits, Monkeys, Snakes, Hamsters, Ants, Ostrich, Fishes and more can be found at the mini zoo! We gone mad there after so excited to feed the animals there and fooled the animals there. Sometimes in life, we need to fool the stupid ones! Of course,Animals are the stupid ones ! How cruel humans are, Hahaha Just Joking. Then we had our buffet self serve lunch. The foods served at there were so delicious! Of course our moms cooking are the best. Is that true Teacher Azam ? Teehee.

We realized this just when we want to pick a dragon fruit.
How lucky we are ...

Then we were gathered at one place by the tour guide or perhaps the “promoter”. At the place, we were told about how honey were made by the bees and collected by the farmers and bee hive process and its benefits of consuming the honeys. After energized by the food we ate back then, we were for our next destination, Angsana Shopping Plaza as our tiring journey had ended and all boarded to the bus again as we rested our exhausted body.

• 3.00PM - 4.30PM

We stopped at one surau to perform our Solat Zuhur and Solat Asar before heading to Angsana Shopping Plaza. After performing our Solats (New Word. Take Note of it), our child desires suddenly came, Playing the playgrounds which was located besides the surau. We suddenly became immature as our teacher Azam too! Hahaha His face suddenly turned into red when riding the swing. After the havoc moments, we boarded the bus again and then continued our journey to our next destination Angsana Shopping Plaza.

 Along the journey to our next destination, our entertainer or Cik Siti cracked some funny jokes and made us to think hard for her riddle. Also we played some games that were created by Cik Siti. It was exciting and fun! We enjoyed that and missed it already. Some of us did some funny shows that were meant made we cry and Ustaz Raziff laughed at their comedy and the bus once again filled with Joys of laughers! As we got to bond with our friends. Perhaps, it was good times.

At Angsana Shopping Plaza, we enjoyed being there, we shopping like a girl do normally, we bought shoes, earpieces, souvenirs for our family members and the best part was, we got to prank one of our unlucky friends. Donuts Comels, Funny and awkward too when one of lady at Dunkin Donuts said that to our friend! Hahahahahaha. Some of us played bowling, some of us wasting their time at the toilet and some of us karaoke-ing.Some of us were like models that girls took picture of them.   Unfortunately, Barra’ was not one of them. •  6.00PM-7.00PM

After finished our shopping at Angsana Shopping Plaza, we gathered again at the car park where our bus driver had parked the bus. There we had photo sessions with the teachers and other students! It was a memorable moment! Then we boarded the bus again to go to a mosque located near Gelang Patah to perform our Solat Maghrib. After finished performing our Solat Maghrib at the mosque, 

we were once again had a photo sessions with teacher fathul and we took some candid photos too!

• 7.00PM-8.30PM

A day without laughter is a day wasted ...

It was late night and we were all tired after the activities we did during the educational trip. However, some of us were hyperactive and did some mini shows such as singing qasidah and storytelling too along the journey to go back to Singapore! But before we separated from our tour guide, Cik Siti, we got to take group photo with her as acknowledgement for her efforts to make us enjoy this     educational trip! It was saddening though as we need to be separated from the tour guide. Of course we will not forget about all the wonderful, educational, informative things we learnt earlier.

We went our separate ways when boarding the bus back as those living in the eastern side boarded one bus while those living around the west side of Singapore boarded another. So we made a goodbye to one another for the day.
